Ability to disable Bartender Bar Search |
|
Some users experienced workflow issues with other apps, as Bartender would still have keyboard focus when trying to enter text, we have added an option to disable search for those users. |

Ability to show items in the Bartender Bar without hiding the left app menu or showing a bartender dock icon |
|
This will show items in the menu bar that are in the Bartender Bar, but not hidden items, and will not hide the left hand app menu, this means a dock icon is also not displayed for Bartender. |
Missing or stuck Bartender Bar Items |

Some users have experienced Bartender Bar items not showing, or remaining after the Bartender Bar closes, we have made changes to prevent this. |

Install System Component Prompt after each Reboot |

Blue highlight on Bartender Preferences cog |

If a user had keyboard navigation setup to navigate all controls in System Preferences the cog would display a blue highlight. This has been fixed. |

In the previous version the custom icon image would not scale correctly, this has been fixed. |

Fix for missing System items on OS X restart |
|
In the previous version, if Bartender was set to launch at login, it was possible to loose the settings for system items from System Preferences, you would then need to reset these in System Preferences. This has been fixed. |

Better messages for licensing |

Some users have struggled with licensing Bartender 2, we have improved the messages displayed when entering licenses. |
Helper Install Loop |
|
In the previous version the helper could fail to install due to OS X believing there was a code signing issue with the Helper, this has been fixed. |
Dock Icon |

In previous versions it was possible for the Dock icon to remain visible, after displaying the full menu bar, this has been fixed. |

Bartender was picking up an old preference for menu bar transparency and making the Bartender Bar white, this has been fixed. |

In previous versions of Bartender 2 using your own image for the Bartender icon would render them as template images (black/white) and alpha, we have changed this back to the old behaviour displaying color etc. |

Bartender 2 added a gap to the right of the menu bar when Notification Center was hidden, this is to maintain the default gap at the screen edge, a lot of users liked not having this gap, so this is now a preference under Appearance. This setting is now saved correctly. |

Fix for Exception on launch for users without separate spaces |
|
If OS X had been setup to not have separate spaces on each screen bartender would have an exception on launch. This has been fixed. |
We are incredibly pleased to announce the release of Bartender 2.
We believe Bartender 2 is fantastic, it has some cool new features that we are sure you will love.
Thanks to all the beta testers for there fantastic feedback and help.
The work is not ending we have more great features we want to add and we also know there are still some outstanding bugs we need to fix, and some we probably don't know about yet, so please do keep the feedback coming!
