Our first update for Bartender 6 brings a huge pass of fixes, and aims to fix issues seen in the final public build of
macOS Tahoe. Please keep reporting any issues directly to us so we can fix anything that comes up — we read every email we get.
New
- The link in the license email to auto-license Bartender will now open Bartender & automatically apply your license. (Some email clients may not allow this link to be clicked.)
Fixes
- Item spacing will now apply correctly.
- When toggling the bar with hovering/clicking, clicking an item won’t then hide the bar & the item’s menu.
- When your bar is too long and items are popped into the hidden section, the layout page will now show which items are popped.
- Reduced indexing frequency and prevented updates during the process whilst we wait for it to settle.
- Improved indexing reliability when there are more than 100 bar items.
- Overflow for notch/left menu will now correctly trigger an overflow into the hidden bar.
- Updated messaging in the license screen for mega supporters (thank you 🙌🏼).
- Stopped the mouse flickering with large bars.
- Lowered the amount of moves Bartender has to make on first open, or when a new app gets added.
- Added an option to send us debug logs in Settings if you face issues.
- Stopped Bartender showing its preferences window on launch.
- Styles will still apply correctly on Tahoe — you may see some issues on Sequoia, which we’ll fix in the next update.
- Fixed deleted sub-bars & groups from staying in the profile and causing items to be unmovable from the Always Hidden section.
- When a menu bar item is temporarily shown, it won’t hide during interaction.
