Organize your menu bar apps

Installing Bartender

####Download You should download Bartender 2 from this site, see the download link in the top menu bar.
You will find “Bartender 2.app” in the location you downloaded to, normally your Downloads Folder.
You should move this file to your Applications Folder.

####Installing Bartender When you first launch Bartender it will ask you to allow it to install its helper.

It will install:
• /Library/ScriptingAdditions/BartenderHelper.osax
• /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.surteesstudios.Bartender.BartenderInstallHelper
These files are used to add the Bartender Helper to your menu bar apps. Without this Bartender cannot operate.

After clicking continue you will be asked for your administrator password. Then you will be able to explore the preferences and setup Bartender as you want.

NOTE: If some menu bar items do not work with Bartender - The quickest fix is to log out and back in, or restart your Mac. This is caused by an issue in OS X that may prevent some menu bar items working with Bartender until they are relaunched, or the Mac is restarted.

####Once Installed Once installed you can configure what you want Bartender to do with each of your menu bar apps. For more help with this please see Bartender Preferences
