Bartender 2 is saying it can not update

Bartender 2 is saying it can not update with the message: "Error: Bartender 2 can’t be updated when its running from a read-only volume like a disk image or an optical drive."
This is often caused when Bartender 2 still has the App Translocation flag set on it by macOS (from when it was downloaded). This translocates the app to a read only location, the way this flag is supposed to be removed is by dragging the app from Downloads to Applications; this doesnt happen if the app is moved another way (for example using Path Finder or other apps). One way to fix this is to drag Bartender to downloads and back to Applications in Finder, this should then allow updates.
